Typical coaching focuses on the left brain. Somatic work is right-brain focused, using the limbic system and the power of neuroscience to help unlock the emotional brain that’s holding you back.
You might be aware of the problem and what you need to do to change, but feel like you can’t sustainably change it. There’s a reason for that - the neural synapses haven’t been rewired: you’re just papering over an existing pattern with an interrupted new one.
With somatic work, the bottom-up approach gives you a new emotional learning - you have a new experience, imaginally, that enables you to:
Know what actually happened, and
Be able to relate and respond to the situation differently.
It’s less effortful and more long-term transformative.

I work with individuals, couples, adult families and groups from all walks of life. They’re business professionals, artists, actors, filmmakers, founders, activists, organizers, teachers, executives, creatives, therapists, students, and more. They span the racial, sexual orientation and gender identity spectrums. Folks come from different socioeconomic backgrounds and lead varied lives.

As your coach, I work with you where you’re at in the present moment. Unlike medical professionals and psychotherapists/psychoanalysts, I do not diagnose illnesses or prescribe medications. The coaching work we do may be life-enhancing and transformational, but I do not view clients through a lens of pathology or unresolved psychological issues. My lens is one of basic goodness and inner wholeness. In our work together, we may use somatic techniques to address nervous system dysregulation to enable the body to feel less stress and more balance. As a coach, we focus on your life as whole person today, facilitating a process that may open doors to a brighter tomorrow. At times, my clients have private psychotherapists and they find the coaching work we do together can help support them further.

You can find my current rate list here.

My regular rates are positioned to be in-line for these/equivalent services in New York City. At times, I also work with select clients on a sliding scale if needed, where we discuss what fee is practical and feasible for them to offer at this time, and for me to receive, with gratitude.
This enables us to keep such things in mind as they may change over time: if someone loses a job or wins the lottery, for example, we discuss this. I aim to co-create a safe space where such conversation is welcome and workable. I invite folks to consider the maximum monthly offering they could make without enduring financial hardship: not too much, not too little.
My basis for doing it this way is the mindfulness tenet of dana I’ve been taught in my mindfulness trainings. Dana means generosity, where we explore and consider the value of the service to us, and what we feel we may be able to exchange in order to support one another. For context, provided there is sufficient time in my schedule, I've always been able to settle on a rate that works for all of us. I support a lot of artists, social activists, creators and healers: being able to receive a full fee from someone who is able to provide that simply enables me to support a broader range of folks I otherwise may not be able to support (as well as to offer the public additional resources such as my free podcast & resources page, done on a voluntary basis).

For coaching, everyone’s needs are different; there is no magic duration or frequency of sessions. I typically see individuals weekly and couples bi-weekly. We will know when it feels like the right time to tier down to less frequent sessions or to pause, but usually our work together is from a minimum of 6 months to a year or longer.

I have a 48 hour (two business days) cancellation policy without being charged. Payment is requested at the time our session is booked, due within 48 hours (two business days) of session time. Canceled sessions may be rescheduled if there's time available that same week, otherwise full fee is charged.

I am currently only seeing clients virtually over video call, but when seeing clients in-person will require proof of vaccination.
